What is the 2006 WIZ Girl Search?
The 2006 WIZ Girl Search is our search for the perfect young woman to represent WIZ Radio and all its promotions in 2006. 12 Preliminary Search Events will be held throughout the months of October, November & December in 12 different Greater Hartford Area Bars (dates and locations to be determined). At each event, 1 girl will be selected to move on to the Finals which will be held in January. Each finalist will also earn a spot in the 2006 WIZ Girl Calendar.
The finalist chosen as the 2006 WIZ Girl will win a paid contract to represent WIZ Radio at all its promotions in 2006, an all-expense paid Caribbean Cruise for 2, a cell phone for 1 year, and an all-expense paid trip to compete to become a UjENA Swimsuit Model.

How do I become The 2006 WIZ Girl?
To become The 2006 WIZ Girl, you must first compete in any of the WIZ Girl Preliminary Search Events which will be held in 12 different Greater Hartford Area bars (dates and locations to be determined). 1 girl will be selected from each event to move on the Finals to be held in January 2006. Judges’ decisions will be considered final.

How do I register to participate in the Preliminary Search Events?
Complete the on-line registration form and submit a recent picture. A WIZ Radio representative will contact you regarding your participation. Due to a limited number of events and available slots, not all registrants will be accepted.

Is there an age limit to enter the Search Events?
The 2006 WIZ Girl Search is open to all girls ages 18 and older. Some Preliminary Search Event locations may have varying age requirements due to legal age restrictions which limit access to nightclubs or lounges. All participants under the age of 21 will be asked to sign a waiver releasing WIZ Radio, AMP Media Partners, LLC, and the associated sponsors of this promotion from any liability stemming from a participant’s breach of drinking age restrictions. Subsequently, any breach would result in the participant’s disqualification.

Do I have to be single to compete?
The 2006 WIZ Girl Search is not limited to single women. Contestants may be married and may have children.

Can I compete more than once in the Preliminary Search Events?
Yes! A contestant is not limited to entering one 2006 WIZ Girl Preliminary Search Event. She may enter as many times as she chooses until winning a spot in the Finals. Re-registration on-line with intent to participate again is required. Again, due to a limited number of events and available slots, not all registrants will be accepted.

On what basis are contestants judged?
Contestants are judged based on overall beauty of face, beauty of figure and projection of personality.

What are contestants expected to wear during the Preliminary Search Events?
Contestants will be expected to wear a swimsuit. The swimsuit should be tasteful and classy. Thongs, see-through material, and minimal coverage tops and bottoms are not considered acceptable attire. WIZ Radio and its representatives reserve the right to disallow any contestant from participation based on the contestant’s choice of swimsuit.

Who will have access to my personal information?
Your personal information will only be used for purposes of this promotion. Once you register, you agree to let WIZ Radio and AMP Media Partners, LLC use your likeness in advertisements and promotion, on-line and in various media, of the 2006 WIZ Girl Search without remuneration.

What will be expected of me if I win a spot in the Finals?
As a winner of one of the Preliminary Search Events, you will be expected to make yourself available to be photographed for the 2006 WIZ Girl Calendar. In addition, you will be expected to participate in all promotional events associated with the calendar, including appearances and calendar signings. You will also be expected to participate in the Final 2006 WIZ Girl Search Event in January 2006 (exact date and location to be determined). If you are not available to participate in any of the above, for whatever reason, a replacement will be chosen.
